For getting admission in 13 IIM the admission test program 2012 has been announced. The exam will be conducted from 11 October to 6 November. You can apply for it from 30th July 2012. As all of you are familiar with the selection procedure of cat. According to the score gained in cat exams you can take admission in 13 IIM colleges and various nits and du and 90 private institutes. These private institutes consists 9 colleges of Greater Noida.

Sale of CAT 2012 vouchers will start from 30th July 2012 and will continue till 17th of September from Axis Bank. Cat 2012 application form costs rs. 1600. And for SC/ST the application form for cat 2012 costs rs 800. For this you have to show you cast certificate. The result will be announced on January 9, 2013.
According to the common admission test committee, the online test will have to sections and have separate time limits. Each of the section has 1 hour and 10 minutes. Each section will have 30 questions. Quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning are the different sections in CAT 2012. Once the time limit finished for first section, candidate will move for the next section without coming back to the first section. There is an option for candidates; they will be given a 15 minutes of tutorial. First two sections are quantitative ability and data interpretation. And the next two sections are verbal ability and logical reasoning. The CAT is an all-India entrance test for admission to the IIMs at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore, Shillong, Kashipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur and Kozhikhode, and other reputed institutes such as the Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad S P Jain Institute, Mumbai, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Delhi School of Economics, New Delhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Dwarka, Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, and TAPAI, Manipal. It was started in the 1960s and was initially the preserve of the IIMs alone. The new entrants in 2011 included six IITs, Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University, and Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar.
