Today, I am going to tell you something which you may not believe. You may call it a milestone in technology. Yesterday at MWC Nokia unveiled their new smartphonenamed as Nokia 808 PureView smartphone. Which has got a 41 MP (yes, you read it right, it is forty one mega pixels) camera. This is the main specification of the phone which is attracting many people.

This high resolution camera is based on ‘’oversampling technology’’ means this technology reduces the noise and blur in image and groups seven pixels together to form one new pixel. And the phone can process up to one billion pixels per second.

Specifications of this phone are following:

Design:

Nokia 808 PureView is a good looking phone available in many colors. The dimensions of the phone are 123.9 x 60.2 x 13.9 mm. Nokia 808 PureView is weighing only 169 grams.

Screen:

Nokia 808 PureView  has got a big 4 inch capacitive touch AMOLED screen with 360×640 pixels making its pixel density 184 ppi. Nokia 808 PureView has clear black display. The display supports multi-touch and is protected with gorilla glass.

Processing and OS:

The Nokia 808 PureView has 1.3GHz ARM 11 processor for smooth processing. The phone runs on Nokia’s Symbian belle operating system which is almost dead.

Memory:

The Nokia 808 PureView comes with 512 MB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It has a microSD card slot to expend the memory up to 32 GB.

Camera:

Now, the camera, Nokia 808 PureView has got a 41 MP camera with 4X zoom. This camera can take photos with 7152 X 5368 pixels resolution. Nokia used Carl Zeiss optics in this phone. The camera has lot of features like face detection, ND filter, xenon flash, auto focus and geo-tagging.

Video capabilities are also good. It can capture 1080p videos with 3X zoom at 30 fps and 720p videos with 6X zoom at 30 fps.

The phone also has a secondary camera which can capture VGA videos at 30 fps

Audio:

The Nokia 808 PureView has got great audio features. It can record HD audio clips at 140 dB. It comes with a 3.5 mm jack.

Connectivity Options:

The Nokia 808 PureView has 2G, 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPRS, A-GPS support. It also has Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, NFC and USB support.

Talk-time:

The Nokia 808 PureView comes with Li-ion 1400 mAh battery which gives a talk time of 11 hours (2G) and 7 hours (3G) and a stand by time up to 470 hours (2G) and 540 hours (3G).

Other Features:

The Nokia 808 PureView supports all basic features like sms, mms. It has got accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors. The browser supports HTML and Adobe flash lite.

Price And Availability:

The expected price of Nokia 808 PureView is around $ 600.The Nokia 808 PureView will be available for masses in May 2012.
